Action we have taken

We have already invested in practical improvements to reduce resource use and support more sustainable care delivery.

Solar energy

We have invested over £50,000 in solar power for our office, supporting renewable electricity generation and reducing our reliance on purchased grid electricity.

More efficient care rounds

We use distance-priority mapping to plan care rounds, helping reduce unnecessary mileage and fuel consumption while meeting individuals' care needs.

Reduced paper use

Our care management software has reduced paper use by approximately 95%, limiting the need for printing, physical documents and paper storage.

Digital communications

We have invested in bespoke software for internal and external communications, supporting digital information sharing and reducing reliance on paper-based processes.

Our next steps

We will build on these investments by developing our emissions baseline, monitoring the main sources of emissions associated with our activities and setting measurable interim reduction targets.

Our priorities include improving energy efficiency, reducing avoidable travel, maintaining efficient digital processes and considering environmental impact when purchasing goods and services.

Our directors will oversee this commitment. We will review our progress and this statement annually, updating our approach as our understanding, technology and service requirements develop. Get in touch for more information.
